P:R Pal Calvin Lin has not only redesigned the FF, he recast them! Here’s what Calvin had to say about his New Fantastic Four:
I decided to tackle the Fantastic Four line-up/design. I’ve never been a huge fan of the FF so I thought I could form a team that would act in their place when they are away or trapped in other dimensions/movie studios. I wanted to take the classic blue/white look and apply it to a roster of superheroes that mimicked the original four’s powerset. I went with Monica Rambeau’s light powers for Invisible Woman, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes) for a more hellish Human Torch, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) for a better Mr. Fantastic, and She-Hulk’s strength for The Thing.
I love them. The 4 logo seamed into the pants is simple and clear, but I especially like the modified color scheme for all the heroes, ala the fully grayed out color schemes for they sometimes use for the X-Force. Rambeau and Reyes look especially fresh. Calvin brings the radness, as always.
